- Advance Health Solutions' colleagues and Health Professional Advisory Board members participate in the annual meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) whose conference theme was “Transforming and Thriving Together” in Orlando, FL. At the AAO-HNS conference, AHS staff (Dr. Maryam Navaie and Dr. Soojin Cho-Reyes) and Advisory Board Members (Dr. Gavin Setzen) engaged in various instructional, legislative and health policy advocacy activities in addition to presenting findings from a collaborative research study.
- The journal Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery publishes a State-of-the-Art Review article entitled "Diagnostic Approach, Treatment, and Outcomes of Cervical Sympathetic Chain Schwannomas: A Global Narrative Review." - In Washington, DC, Advance Health Solutions' President and CEO, Dr. Maryam Navaie and longtime collaborator, Dr. Elspeth Cameron Ritchie, Chief Medical Officer from the District of Columbia’s Department of Behavioral Health participate in National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)’s NAMIWalks campaign. NAMIWalks will raise a profile of hope in 50 locations in 38 states during the summer and fall of 2014 -- including October's Mental Illness Awareness Week. These walkathons aim to raise money for research, education, support and advocacy.

- Advance Health Solutions' colleagues, including Dr. Maryam Navaie, President and CEO, and Dr. Karen Bibbins, Senior Research and Client Relations Associate, and collaborator, retired Colonel Dr. Elspeth Cameron Ritchie, Chief Medical Officer at the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health, present research entitled: “Advancing Treatment Outcomes for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder through Alternative and Complementary Health Practices” at the National Convention of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Washington, DC. The convention’s policy-focused theme was "Advocates for Change: From Dialogue to Action.”
- Advance Health Solutions' colleagues, Dr. Maryam Navaie, President and CEO, and Dr. Karen Bibbins, Senior Research and Client Relations Associate, attend the Veterans and Military Council Reception to discuss relevant mental health and health policy issues pertaining to veterans and military families. The reception was sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Washington, DC on September 3, 2014. AHS is a proud supporter of NAMI, our nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization.
